Covering different concepts of education, basic theories of learning and different models for effective learning, this course is ideal for anyone already working, or aspiring to work, within the management of an educational institution of any level, from pre-school to university. More specifically it covers different teaching approaches, curriculum development, intercultural education and their importance to inclusive education. In addition, the course points out the role of the teacher, as well as theory and practice of management and leadership in all levels of education.
Course Content
Week 1: Dimensions of Education and Effective Teaching
This week covers the concepts of education, the basic theories of education/learning and the different models relating to an effective learning.
Week 2: Teaching Approaches and Curriculum development
This week covers the different teaching approaches and the concept of curriculum development and its importance.
Week 3: Intercultural Education and Management
This week covers the intercultural education and its importance to the role of the teacher in this process and the management and leadership of education.
Week 4: Wellbeing in the workplace
This week focuses on bullying in the workplace and the teachers' stress.
Week 5: Final Quiz
This section is dedicated to your Course Evaluation.
The course consists of one multiple choice quiz carrying a weight of 100% towards the final course grade. In order to successfully complete the course and obtain your certificate you need to achieve an overall grade of 50% or above at the quiz.
