Special Education or Special Education Needs is the education for students with special needs in a way that addresses the students’ individual differences and needs.
This course focuses on teaching and managing students with learning disabilities. It develops knowledge on how to adapt teaching practices and pedagogical support to the needs and characteristics of every student.
It concentrates on differentiated teaching, the designing a fair and inclusive education system, on the characteristics and benefits of an inclusive learning classroom and on mastering the art of teaching for different models of disability.

WEEK 1: Introduction and Differentiated Teaching
WEEK 2: Inclusion and Critical reflection on SEN
WEEK 3: Equity in Education
WEEK 4: Models of Disability and the Interactive Factors Framework
WEEK 5: Final Review - Revision and prepartation for the final assessment
WEEK 6: Course evaluation and Assessment
The course consists of one multiple choice quiz carrying a weight of 100% towards the final course grade. In order to successfully complete the course and obtain your certificate you need to achieve an overall grade of 50% or above at the quiz.
